"I envy those young artists to a certain extent: if only I was given such an opportunity to express my opinion 35 years ago! Especially if you have not only an opportunity, but something to say as well. I believe it is necessary to speak the truth at this age. And it is very good that there are such events where participants have the opportunity to work in any direction, to reveal themselves, to look for their own style. But, when evaluating a work, one should make allowance for the young age, take into account this factor. We always expect good results from young people, and I’m sure that in the future we will see the fruits of such powerful events as "Silver Easel", - Vlad Habda notes.

Vladyslav Habda, Honoured Artist of Ukraine about the progress of the "Silver Easel"

The artist mentions the significant changes in the organization and holding of the 3rd "Silver Easel": “Much has changed from the first contest, it can be seen even in the catalogue. It is not about quantity, but about quality. It is worth noting that the contest is taking down scores and becomes not only all-Ukrainian, but also European. The bar was raised, and a passing grade became higher. All these factors will contribute to higher level, and it is a major thing in art. You cannot become the best by quantity, but only by persistence and quality. It is very important that the geography has expanded, the students from abroad come here - this is primarily the exchange of knowledge.”
