On the second contest day, the participants of the Open Student Contest in Painting were divided into two groups – the first one went to Khust, the other one remained in Uzhhorod. In such a way the founders decided to expand the geography of the contest and attract more locations.

The experienced guide and historian Vladyslav Tovtyn introduced the city over the Uzh River and its rich history to the participants of "Silver Easel". Contestants saw interesting tourist attractions and learned about the details, unknown to almost every resident of Uzhhorod. All this will help to form an impression of the city and choose the location for the first contest task "Cityscape".

After the city tour, two interesting events, planned by the Organizing Committee, waited for participant: at first the contestants were able to plunge into the creative atmosphere of the house-museum of one of the founders of the Transcarpathian painting school Fedir Manailo, and then they went to the house-museum of the People's Artist of Ukraine, academician Volodymyr Mykyta. Meeting with prominent people, extraordinary creativity, advice from the academician – all these inspired young artists, and they moved further to the art gallery "Ilko". Another highlight was there – an exhibition of works by Transcarpathian artists "Watercolours", which the citizens of Uzhhorod have seen for the first time these days. Full of emotions and somewhat tired, the contestants admit: Uzhhorod is beautiful, and the contest, which managed to unite them, is the really unprecedented phenomenon in the Ukrainian cultural life.

The capital of Carpathian Ukraine impressed other participants: they were lucky to get acquainted with Prague ... in Khust! A city excursion for the young artists, who were to find locations for the "Cityscape" in the district centre of Transcarpathia, started with the famous "Czech quarter". In general, participants wandered around the castle, saw the central part of the city, historical monuments. "A very comfortable town, like all small towns," a participant Veronika Zasadna said. There are many interesting architectural decisions, beautiful landscapes. There is a lot to paint ..." In addition, the contestants visited deer farm near Khust as well as "Baranovo" farm. The participants examined the location, looked at the picturesque corners, somebody even painted "on the go".

Tired and satisfied, the majority of boys and girls admitted: the contest is traditionally surprising and impressive, but most importantly – interesting locations for the first competitive task are selected. So, see you in Uzhhorod and Khust!
