The first important stage – this day the participants of the Open Student Contest in Painting "Silver Easel" were performing the first contest task. To perform the "Cityscape" talented girls and boys from the very morning received their canvases and went to the places chosen yesterday during the sightseeing tour.

Both Uzhhorod and Khust turned into creative studios this day: there were numerous young artists on the old streets, in small cosy courtyards, in yellow and crimson squares and in the castle mountains of both towns. Inspiringly screwing their eyes up or holding their brushes on the lips, they diligently or vice versa – easily and naturally –put paints on the canvases and create their first masterpieces …

However, the participants in Khust started performing the first contest task "Cityscape" ... in the rain. Fortunately, in the afternoon rain was over and nobody actually was disturbed. "We paint in the style of real impressionists," Anastasiia Khudiakova from Kharkiv, who chose the Khust castle for her landscape, commented.

"Cityscape" gathered numerous Uzhhorod and Khust citizens in the locations where young artists worked. "Silver Easel" created a powerful holiday of art and creative inspiration in ancient Transcarpathian towns!
