… And now, turn on your creative imagination, take a breath, and do what you like the most, what will best help you to reveal your creativity! In such a way it is possible to formulate the task of the last contest day – "Improvisation", which was held on 13 October.

This day, fifty students-participants of the contest were gathered in the hall-atrium of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration where they implemented the last stage. It should be noted that initially, the organizers of the contest planned to outline a certain framework or to define some topic for the stage "Improvisation". However, as its founder Robert Brovdi said during the official contest opening, improvisation means to work freely, without limits. Therefore, young artists could work with any materials, in any style and topic. We hope they’ve succeeded!

Meanwhile, at the end of the day, two more powerful art events were planned for all the participants and guests of the contest. At 5.00 p. m, in the Transcarpathian Museum of Folk Architecture and Life, it was opened an exhibition of works by the "Silver Easel" laureates Anastasiia Mitikova and Petro Hrytsiuk. Young artists took part in the 2nd All-Ukrainian Student Contest in Painting "Silver Easel", which was held in Uzhhorod this April. They received a special prize from the curator of the art residency "Velikyi Pereviz" Tamara Babak – an opportunity to live and create in the art institution during 10 days. At the exhibition, organized by Oleksandr and Tamara Babak together with the Art & Culture Foundation Brovdi Art within the framework of the 3rd Open Student Contest in Painting "Silver Easel", it was presented about two dozen works performed by the laureates during their stay in Poltava region. When opened the exhibition, a curator and co-founder of the art residency, an artist Tamara Babak said that she decided to make an exhibition of works by young artists even while they were living and working at the art residency: "I got this idea when Nastia and Petro were painting in the "Velykyi Pereviz", I wanted to show the pictures of these young people in order to inspire and motivate the future participants of "Silver Easel".
In the evening, there was another one event – a meeting with a painter, a video and photo artist, the author of installations, performances, a curator Pavlo Kerestei. The artist was born in Uzhhorod, studied at the Lviv State Institute of Decorative Arts. Now he lives and works in London. He is a participant in numerous personal and collective exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad, his works are kept in private collections of Ukraine, Europe, and the USA. A lot of guests from Uzhhorod and Kyiv gathered at his lecture.

The incredible creative atmosphere, interesting events and meetings with extraordinary people – the Open Student Contest in Painting "Silver Easel", without a doubt, has become the brightest youth art event this autumn in Ukraine!
