This autumn the participants of the Open Student Contest in Painting "Silver Easel" joined this unique social project– they will contribute to the support the children with disabilities and raise eco-consciousness among the population of Transcarpathia.

Thus, during the opening of "Silver Easel", all its participants received eco-bags from the PO "Happy Children", which has been operating in Uzhhorod for several years. Young artists received the task –to decorate bags during the week and return them to the contest organizers. As noted by the co-founder of the public organization Olha Pavlova, eco-bags painted by the students will be sold after some time at the charity auction: "We plan to allocate the proceeds for the expansion of the project on eco-bags manufacturing and ecology".

In general, according to Mrs Olha, the global gist of this project is to educate the eco-consciousness among the population and encourage buying of eco-bags instead of polyethylene. "We calculated that about 26,000 plastic bags are bought in Uzhhorod daily, almost 40,000 UAH is spent on it. Moreover, it is huge damage to the environment," the co-founder of the PO added.

"We also pursue another goal – to create a social project that will work to support the parents of children with disabilities, because mothers of such children remain without attention, but they also need both earnings and simple communication", the co-founder of the PO "Happy Children" Liudmyla Siuzeva admitted.

The co-founders of the PO "Happy Children" invite all those who are not indifferent to join their projects, as the founders of the Art & Culture Foundation Brovdi Art and the participants of the Open Student Contest in Painting "Silver Easel" have already done.
