The participant of the “Silver Easel” contest Myroslava-Anastasiia Fedchenko was able to combine defence of diploma and her personal exhibition. On 19 June 2018, the girl presented her personal exhibition “Blind Silence” at the capital Centre for Contemporary Art “White World”.

Interestingly, the exposition has a double name. Officially, it is titled “Defence of Diploma”. The girl explains: she decided to defend his own diploma work outside the walls of the academy where she studied. “This is a kind of revolutionary step that confirms the concept of the exhibition about the interaction of human consciousness with the outside world,” says Myroslava.

The exhibition was planned by a young artist since last year. “Blind Silence” – is the installation and painting, executed in the author's technique. Sound and video effects supplemented the atmosphere.

In general, this exhibition demonstrates the process of human development: getting rid of the conventions, the moral framework “good-bad”. Blind silence is what is inside and around a person.

In the author's understanding, if you plunge into absolute silence, abstract and realize the moment, you will be able to contemplate the environment as a certain process and perceive yourself as part of the whole mechanism. The girl is convinced: “This is the awareness of oneself not as part of a public system with established moral frames and beliefs, but as microparticles of the macro process – the universe. The personal human ambitions of domination, control, and imposition are antipodes of the position of love as the basis.”

According to Myroslava, the central work consists of 4 parts, – this is the starting point of the entire process of development, the cause and effect of what is happening around. In general, the exhibition, according to the author, is an allegory of life as a specific scenario.

To see the exhibition and plunge into the blind silence of Myroslava Fedchenko is available until 30 June 2018.
