New discoveries and unforgettable emotions! Friendly atmosphere and interesting meetings! Moreover, the first-time mountains and incredible inspiration – such are the feedbacks of the contestants.

This autumn, participants from Hungary, Poland and Belarus came to Uzhhorod. We asked the students about their impressions of the contest and the reaction of their educational institutions.

Gergo Bankuti, Hungarian University of Fine Arts (Budapest): "My parents are proud of me, they appreciate my accomplishments. I was congratulated on receiving a lot of prizes in various nominations. My professor from University was very happy for me!

“I suggest the students who are seriously interested in painting, are not to be afraid and don’t hesitate, but to apply for participation in the "Silver Easel" – it is interesting and exciting!”

I also told about the contest to my fellow students, they got interested in participating next time. If I have time and opportunity, then I’ll surely apply as well, as I really want to feel those pleasant emotions once again!

In my opinion, "Silver Easel" is a very good event with a wonderful programme for the participants. I would like more participants from abroad to come to the contest and it reaches the international level. I would like the contest tasks to be expanded: to add performance, installation, video, or other progressive forms of art to attract more people. I suggest the students who are seriously interested in painting are not to be afraid and don’t hesitate, but to apply for participation – it is interesting and exciting! And one more thing, it is very delicious food in Uzhhorod!"

Anastasiia Shevchuk, Opole University (Opole, Poland): "I found out about the contest almost at the end of the registration, so my teachers did not even know that I would go. The only one who knew was the deputy-dean of the department, he was happy and wished me success and inspiration. In the university, we have a very positive attitude concerning any activity of students, and we are encouraged to participate in various events. When I returned, the fellow students asked about the contest, the received impressions, and they even started thinking of taking part as well. There are different contests in Poland, but I aven’t ever heard about the analogue of "Silver Easel".

"The contest gave the most pleasant impressions! "Silver Easel" is a significant event in the history of the contemporary Ukrainian art! "

The contest gave the most pleasant impressions! I’m very grateful for the opportunity, the experience as it’s the most important! A good, friendly atmosphere, not only among the participants but also among all the people involved, left pleasant memories that I would like to go through again. I am glad that young artists are supported in Ukraine, we have our own art, and such events preserve it in our native country. I think that "Silver Easel" is a significant event in the history of the contemporary Ukrainian art!"
